Since when I was a kid, my Mom already trained me and my siblings to wake up early in the morning. I can still remember the days when she needs to brings us up from the bed to the dining room, feed us using her bare hands of rice balls with tidbits of fried fish. Our eyes were still close but we still manage to chew the food, swallow it and sip our glass of chocolate milk. Our class starts at 7 am and we’re a bit far from the school so we were required to wake up at around 5 am and be ready before our school service comes.
When we entered high school, we no longer had any trouble waking up early because we’re already used to it. We managed to get to school an hour, sometimes 30 minutes before the flag ceremony starts. This made me thankful to my Mom for training us to become morning persons, know how to value time and be punctual as much as possible.
Being a morning person made me realized how time is so precious. We don’t only value our time but also others too. When I entered college and had my internship, I remembered that I was a bit too early for my interview. And I brought that habit until I finished my time having an internship in that company. I can say that my bosses and supervisors were impressed by my punctuality.
Then, when I had my first official job interview, I managed to be on time even though the traffic on my way there was heavy. The city traffic is so stressful and can be annoying especially if you have important appointments like job interviews like me at that time. So, I adjusted my alarm and ready my outfit a night before and of course, sleep on time. And luckily, I got hired. My preparation didn’t fail me and I know, it’ll bring me into much bigger and better things in the future.
Seeing the sunrise before its rays touch the city buildings is one of my favorite sights to see. I’m going home in the morning when I was still working and it was my sign too saying it’s almost time to go home, sleep and rest. Sometimes, I preferred to walk and appreciate the morning rays of sunshine behind the trees, posts, and buildings too. I love taking pictures of these sceneries because they are such a beauty.
And until now, I still wake up so early and make sure to get up first before the sun shows up. Mornings are great so try, even for once, to wake up early and you’ll see how it will change your life for the better.
