There’s no such thing as a coincidence. I always believe that everything happens for a reason. I don’t blame myself or anybody with my loss, sadness and despair. There are maybe some days that I question my self how I ended up with some unfortunate circumstances but I think it’s normal.
My best friend called me one day telling me that she lost some money from her bank account. She called the bank, did some process and stuff. I know how it feels like losing money that I’ve worked hard for and that was she was feeling that time. As her best friend, I wanted her not to feel so bad about it so I told her that everything happens for a reason. That maybe someone else needs the money more than she needs it. That it’s best to consider it as a blessing to others, even if she unwillingly gave it. I know this may sound absurd, but that’s the only way that I can say and think of that time. Instead of reminding her that she’s the unlucky one, twist the story and just consider herself as a guardian angel for someone else rather than to feel bad for the whole day or week.
This saying also applies to what’s happening around the world. It may not yet prove that the virus is man-made or not, we humans also have responsibilities when it comes to keeping our community clean. It’s like a domino effect. We should always practice proper hygiene to prevent the spreading of germs but if not, the worst thing can happen, like right now. If only we take simple things seriously like washing our hands and disposing of waste properly, then this won’t happen. So like I said, everything happens for a reason. This is probably a call for us that we should go back to the basics.
I guess forcing ourselves to stay at home with our family is one of the good reasons why this pandemic happens. We’re all busy with our careers and traveling has been a big thing nowadays so I think we all need a break from it. I read so many posts online that people have been realizing the value of spending time with families and friends. We keep on looking for other things when some are already served in front of us, we just don’t see them.
Thus, if we’re feeling sorry about something, look on the brighter side of things. Don’t make a fuss about it for the whole day because it’s just a waste of time. If we can’t find a solution for it, then tell ourselves that everything happens for a reason.
