Maybe most of us complain about how annoying this pandemic does to our plans, work and relationship. We make negative things as the center of our attention and didn’t even manage to see the good opportunities that it can bring to us.
This morning, I had this thought about how can I stay productive and optimistic even I still can’t do what I usually do. Like some of you, I had trouble adjusting with my everyday routine and I’m happy to tell you that I’m coping with it just fine.
In this post, I am about to give you some ideas or opportunities that we can do while we still can’t go back to our normal activities. I hope you’ll find it helpful and fun to do.
I mentioned in some of my posts about how I help my Mom with her garden. Our home is full of different plants and fruits too which mostly the outcome of the hard labor of my parents. We have bananas, guava, lemon, mango, coconut and even papaya trees. My Mom also loves to decorate our home with plants inside because she finds it relaxing and refreshing.
I see some or friends’ and relatives’ posts that they’re into planting as well. Taking care of plants is fun because it doesn’t only test our patience but also allows us to think clearly while we’re spending silence all by ourselves. This is the best time to do this since we spend most of our time at home doing mostly nothing.
I admit that I have a couple of books that I still haven’t read yet because I’m always busy. But now, I can read a few pages and even finish one book for only two days. I also have enough time to read self-help blogs and articles that I can apply to myself when I’m feeling down and having negative thoughts.
Learning how to cook new dishes is also a fun thing to do. Some of us prefer to just go out, eat somewhere, or order food when we were too busy with our work. This time, why don’t we try to make something healthy while spending time with our loved ones? We might find this too as a way to start a new business venture if we’re looking for something where we can earn extra bucks.
Do you still remember when was the last time you wrote to your friends, family or loved ones? This era made us forget how genuinely it is to receive and send something coming from our hearts through letters, whether it’s handwritten or not. We can show our creativeness through it and serves as an exercise to our mind since we tend to think first before we write and put those into words. If you’re keeping notebooks you haven’t used since you bought it, this is the best time for you to start journaling as well.
Thank you so much for reading!
