Not So Bad For My First Pancake

I tried to make a pancake this afternoon while my sister was having a nap and my Mom was busy in the garden. I was a bit hesitant at first because my sister was supposed to be the one who’ll make it but I wanted to try something new! So, I got an egg from the fridge, flour, baking soda, butter and milk. But before that, I Googled about how to make a pancake.

It’s an easy thing to do but I was not really sure with what I was doing so I just followed the instruction in making pancakes from the site I visited. I was laughing at myself while mixing all the ingredients and waiting for the pan to get enough heat from the stove.

My Mom didn’t even bother to check on me even if she kept on coming back and forth in the kitchen and garden to get some tools. She just let me do my own thing, as always. When I already put it in the pan with butter on it, I got scared because it looks like the mix I made wasn’t right! But I still decided to continue it even if I wasn’t sure if it’ll have the result I wanted. I covered it and lower the heat so it’ll not get burn. And after a few minutes of waiting, voila!

I learned something today and that is not to be afraid to do the things that scare us. It may or may not have the kind of outcome we expect it to be, we’ll all learn our lessons. Conquering our fear is one of the bravest things that we can do to make our life more exciting, thrilling and fun at the same time!

Thank you so much for reading!
